A flourishing, diversified industrial sector
Coaticook’s industrial sector is spread out across 11 of the region’s 12 municipalities and accounts for a significant portion of the regional economy. Companies are always looking for qualified workers to fill manufacturing positions, involving general (day labour) to highly specialized tasks. To date, the region counts almost 65 factories in many different sectors including plastic and rubber, clothing and other textiles, and furniture and related products. In 2016, the region’s industrial sector alone generated some 3,430 jobs.
The region’s businesses offer great job opportunities, allowing workers to enjoy the best of both worlds—an exceptional quality of life and a job located close to home, leisure amenities, nature and services!
The Coaticook MRC has developed an interactive map showing the various industries located across the region.
You can even watch videos shot in some of our regional factories to see the dynamic and rewarding work environments they offer.
